The opening segment of today’s AM Joy on MSNBC was devoted to discussing host Joy Reid’s notion that President Trump is “unraveling” and having a “breakdown” and what could be done about it.
The question put to her guests was who might be ready, willing and able to stop him. One guest opined that Trump can only be stopped if Fox News turns against him. Calling Trump a “living, breathing danger,” Prof. Jason Johnson called on Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan to “constrain” Trump. Another guest fretted that Generals McMaster and Kelly won’t “live up to McMaster’s Ph.D. thesis . . . where senior military leadership stops this guy.”
A former Republican congressman claimed that there are Republicans in DC, though not elected ones, “beginning to question whether we’d be a safer nation if Democrats took the House in 2018.”
